PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account including but not limited to personal information about merchants and merchant’s users, customer personal information and purchase information.
Additionally, we may collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App:
(a) Information about you and others who may access the App on behalf of your store, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, date of birth and billing information;
(b) Information about specific purchases and past transactions such as order totals, payment info, addresses, customer names and products purchased. We refer to this is “Purchase Information”;
(c) Information about individuals who visit your store, such as their IP address, web browser details, time zone, and information about the cookies installed on the particular device. We refer to this as “Device Information”.
We collect Personal Information and Device Information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account, and using the following technologies:
“Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
“Log files” track actions occurring on the Site and the App, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
“Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site or interact with the App.
We may use third party tracking and analytics applications like Google Analytics to understand usage of the Site and Applications in order to provide a better customer experience and generally improve our products and services.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the personal information and Device Information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to:
(a) Communicate with you, provide customer support, provide invoices and/or order confirmations;
(b) Optimize or improve the App, and generally improve the Service (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site or Applications, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns);
(c) Provide you with information or advertising relation to our products or services;
(d) and Screen for potential risk or fraud.
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use Shopify to sell our Applications to Shopify Merchants — you can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy. We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site and Applications–you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
As described above, we reserve the right to use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you, in line with the preferences you have shared with us. DO NOT TRACK
Please note that we do not alter our Site’s or Applications’ data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below. Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make a purchase through the Site or Shopify App Marketplace), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
If you are not a European resident, we believe you should be able to access personal information we hold about you, and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this option, please contact us through the contact information below and we will work to process your request where allowed by law. Please note that your information may transferred outside of your country of residence.
When you install or use the App offered by Normal Systems, we will maintain your Purchase Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
